Saturday was a jam-packed exploring day. The weather was PERFECT, super sunny and very mild temperature. My friend had never visited Paris before so we walked and walked and walked.
First, we headed towards Montmartre to go vintage shopping. Along our walk we stopped in a very hauntingly cool taxidermy shop (all the animals apparently die of natural causes). They had real life (Dead?) size giraffes, lions, tigers, horses etc. I have never seen anything like it in my life. As we walked through the “Moulin Rouge district” I was SPIT ON by a still drunk adult man… living the Parisian dream (not).
After going to Sacre-Coeur, eating lunch and drinking in a café we decided that we had the energy to go to the Eiffel Tower. When we got there we bought tickets to ride the carousel – as you can see we had fun.
By the end of the “day” we had taken 500 photos (aka I will never forget where we went or what we did). For the sake of the speed of the webpage loading and your concern for our millennial narcissism, I have included a minimal amount of photos.
We ended a busy day by going out for drinks at Prescription Cocktail Club, a very cool bar in my neighbourhood.

Every morning we would go to the fruit stand and get green grapes and eat them while walking to our destination. My friend loves it here so much that she changed her return flight home for Friday instead of Monday (yay)!
Our first destination of the day was the Louvre. We spent about 6 hours there and we still did not see it all! We bought our tickets online so we got to skip the line woohoo.

Trying to keep it PG-13 in the museum is a difficult task…
In the afternoon we walked around Paris. That is the best part about this city, you can do absolutely “nothing” and still be so happy and amused.
We met up with a backpacking friend from Montréal for dinner and we all had super cheesy pasta! After that we then headed to a local bar that has jazz in the basement every Sunday evening. After a few drinks, my friends convinced me to sing happy birthday with the jazz band. It wasn’t anyones birthday but that was the only song I felt comfortable singing in public. I didn’t have any drinks thrown on me so I would say it was a success!

Whoops, I have fallen behind AGAIN on my blog posts. I will try to catch up as fast as I can. Thanks for reading!
Xoxo,
Tara
