Paris: Weekend Three

Saturday, January 25, 2020

I began my Saturday with a walk along the Seine, just taking in the fresh air and listening to new music.

In the afternoon, I went to the Musée d’Orsay. I must have spent around 5 hours wandering around all the beautiful art.

In the evening, I went window shopping. My neighbourhood is FILLED with beautiful stores so one of my most common pass-times here is to pretend that I’m not living on an intern salary. I found the MOST beautiful Chagall lithograph at an art store, one day I will have it, I just have to keep working.

On Sunday, I went to the Paris Animal Show at the Porte de Versailles. It was interesting to say the least… I learned about ant colonies, saw hundreds of purebred cats AND GOT TO HOLD PUPPIES! My dream of owning a dog is stronger than ever – patience, patience, patience.. But if I am to stay in Paris, I cannot own a big dog so now I have to brainstorm small dog breeds (haha).

After the animal show, I went over to a coworkers house for tartiflette aka my new favourite dish. It has everything I love – cheese, potatoes, and wine. It is a typical Savoyard recipe (like an upgraded Poutine). Just try to name something better than a giant block of melted cheese on-top of potatoes…

As always, thanks for reading! I am slowly catching up on my blog. If you need any help in subscribing so you get email updates when I post then please let me know & I can help!

Xoxo,

Tara
