Paris: Weekend Five

Saturday, February 8, 2020

After a long week, Saturday was a bit of a slow day. Based on the recommendation of a friend, I went to the Fondation Louis Vuitton – a private space created to promote contemporary and modern art. Other than being architecturally fascinating, the museum includes a rotating exhibition, unique art events, and a permanent collection. The exhibition I went to see was “CHARLOTTE PERRIAND: INVENTING A NEW WORLD”.

The FLV is right beside the Bois de Boulogne, a giant park akin to Central Park in New York. If there was not a rainstorm, I would have most definitely explored the area. I will just have to come back on a sunnier day!

On Sunday I had quite a bit of work to do so I decided to “reward” myself so I would not go crazy staring at my laptop all day.

I went to my favourite Bikram yoga studio for an afternoon class. There is quite a lot of controversy about Bikram yoga. On one hand people hate it because of the awful sexual predator founder, on the other hand people hate it because they see it as “90 minutes of trying not to vomit or pass out”. Every time I sign up for a new class I ask myself “Can you seperate the “artist from the art”? As he does not profit from my class attendance, I continue to go to class.

After my class I went to the Marché aux fleurs et aux oiseaux to get some flowers!

It was a slow but good weekend, I really feel at home here.

Xoxo,

Tara
